I am honoured to represent the Gujo Hachiman

International Friendship Society as president for

this, the first year of the new Reiwa era, and for

2020. As I find my way in this important role, I will

continue to draw on the principles of grassroots

international exchange, and mutual support and

cooperation that have guided us since our

inauguration, as well as on my predecessors’ spirit

of multiculturalism, to keep working towards

making Gujo a place that can be enjoyed by people

of all cultures and nationalities. I look forward to

working together for world peace and regional

development, cherishing the bonds between

people.

This year the Gujo Hachiman International

Friendship Association celebrates its 30th

anniversary. I would like to express my gratitude to

all those who have supported our progress thus far,

and look forward to taking our next steps together,

with everybody’s continued support and

encouragement.
